Hey there Rock the Mill’ers!

We hope that you’re just as excited as we are about Rock the Mill 2012 where we will be nestling nicely into our new home of Riverside Park in Preston, Cambridge!

Lately, we have been working very hard on preparing the event and making sure that we are surpassing the potential that Riverside holds for us.

Just a reminder, though — this years Rock the Mill is on August 18th 2012 and will begin at NOON and carry on until 11pm.

All bands are encouraged to submit your application for review. The application can be found here and we wish you the best of luck throughout the voting process!
Over the last couple of weeks, we have had some confusion between the difference of Gateway Productions participation in Rock the Mill, so I will clear that up very quickly. Gateway has graciously accepted to run a battle of the bands for the local bands in Southern Ontario. Rock the Mill has donated spots on this years event as prizes, and Gateway has chosen a select few judges to judge the participating bands. Rock the Mill has no voting power on these competing bands.

HOWEVER…

Likewise, Gateway has no voting power when it comes to voting on bands who have applied directly to Rock the Mill using the Band Application. Bands who have applied to Gateway’s battle “Gateway to Greatness” are also encouraged to apply to Rock the Mill using the application.

As a committee, we are very grateful for Gateway’s acceptance of our donations to the battle and we also wish every participating band the best of luck in the battle!
